This heavy duty buckle is copied from a surviving original in our private
collection. It is very stout and would be perfect for use supporting plate
armour or even for making your horse harness. This buckle would be
appropriate from 1300-1600. It is made for a ¾ inch wide strap though a
strap of nearly an inch wide will pass through it.
