This acorn strap end is an enlargement of a surviving original in our
private collection. It is decorated with engraving. It requires a pair of
rivets to secure it to the belt. This strap end would be appropriate from
1300-1550. For use on a 1 ½ inch or wider belt and would be perfect for
supporting a sword. Consider paring this with the Large Ridged Buckle and
the Brass Floral Belt Bar.
