Pewter St. Edward the Confessor Badge

The shrine of the royal saint Edward the Confessor in Westminster Abbey has always been a site of royal and noble pilgrimages. William I, Henry II, Henry III, Henry IV and Richard III all made barefoot pilgrimages to this shrine. This piece is based on a badge in the Museum of London. English, 14th century. Please note this style has no pin back and must be sewn to clothing.
