Pewter Raven Pendant

A fine raven pendant based upon the shield boss from the Sutton Hoo ship burial. The raven was the Viking symbol of the god Odin the All-father, the most powerful of all the Norse gods. He was the patron of both battle and poetry. Anglo-Norse, 8th century. 1 1/4 inches wide.
