Pewter Gotstad Pendant

While this piece was originally a belt fitting or a harness mount, it has been rendered here as a fine brass pendant. It is based on a 9th century Viking original found on the Gotstad ship burial. It now resides in the Universitetets Oldsaksamling, in Olso. 1 1/2 inches wide.
