About our Wide Sword Belt
If “the clothes make the man” (or woman!), then the accessories make the clothes. Or at least, they help turn them into a proper outfit. Designed as a balance between authenticity, function and cost, these belts are perfect for either a simpler look, or to create a “custom” belt by adding your own fittings. This robust belt is over 1 ½ inches wide and mounted with highly authentic belt hardware in the form of a Ridged buckle with engraved plate and a decorated acorn strap end. Belts of this sort were frequently worn by knights to suspend their swords. This belt would be appropriate for the period 1250-1450.The total length of the belt is over 60 inches.

Based on a common 14th and 15th century design, the brass fittings on the pouch are taken directly from originals in the Strong Collection.
