This brass pendant was cast from a an original pendant in our private collection. The Fleur de Lis is a popular heraldic symbol representing the lily flower. It is often associated with the French due to its use in the French Royal Arms but the image was used in all European countries in the middle ages. The Fleur de Lis is also a religious symbol representing the Virgin Mary and its three petals represent the Holy Trinity.
