About our Arming Cap
Our quilted, linen coif is made with the same construction as our linen gambeson. Its made with an outer layer of heavy, 7.5 oz linen for with three layers of cotton batting and has a medium weight cotton canvas lining. Based on the concept of a padded coif as shown used in a military context in 13th century sources and the three panel coif pattern that is used in later medieval periods. Use it on its own or inside your helmet.
